On January 3, 2023, we embarked on the path of investing in environmentally friendly projects that not only improve the energy situation in the country, but also help preserve natural resources for future generations.
In the same year, we took an important step in the development of renewable energy by investing in the “Nyzhny Vorota” wind power plant, located in the Transcarpathian region.
In February 2024, we launched a project to build peaking capacity — gas engine units with a total capacity of 11.5 MW. This solution allows for flexible response to the power system’s needs and helps maintain supply stability.
In July 2024, as part of the “Nyzhni Vorota” wind farm (Zakarpattia region), we launched the first wind turbine with a capacity of 4.8 MW. This is another step toward increasing the share of clean energy in our portfolio.
In March 2025, we commissioned the first gas engine unit in the Zakarpattia region with a capacity of 1.5 MW. It enhances our system’s flexibility and ensures efficient resource utilization.
In April 2025, we launched two new wind turbines — “Nyzhni Vorota-2” — each with a capacity of 4.8 MW. This significantly increases the volume of renewable energy production in the region and highlights our commitment to green energy development.
